Detailed Description: (three to four sentences describing steps to teaching unit and who is responsible) The students will spend three days in the high school library, two days in the elementary library and four days in the classroom to conduct research about their chosen sea creature. Technology used during this time include: videos, laser disc programs, internet sites and CD Rom programs. After this research the students are required to write a sea myth, factual story book, three dimensional replica of their animal, five factual poems and a poster about their animal. A future project would also implement a hyperstudio or powerpoint group product concerning the environmental hazards which affect their animals and its habitat.
