DESCRIPTION: The };indergarten class attended the Topeka Zoo on Friday, ~vlay 1, 1998. The children discussed and listed all the zoo animals they could recall seeing. They wanted to know what everyone's favorite zoo animal was and if they could find out other kids' favorite zoo animals also. We decided to write to the Wathena kindergarten classroom and see what their favorite zoo animals are by voting from the animals we listed. Then, we were to graph our results and compare the two kindergartens. During this time, the students also looked and discovered zoo animals from library books and wrote in their journals.
